Focus assist laser

Focusing is the process of adjusting the position of the lens in relation to the workpiece in order to obtain the best processing result. In our laser systems, a green auxiliary laser is built into the marking head at an angle to the optical axis, it helps to determine the position of the focal plane visually.

Steps to finding focus using the auxiliary laser:

  • After the auxiliary laser is turned on the the special "Focus" mode is activated in the control software, a green dot and a red crosshair appear on the surface of the workpiece.

  •   To adjust the focus, the operator must move the marking head vertically so that the green dot aligns with the center of the red crosshair.

The auxiliary laser doesn't need to be recalibrated when the lens is changed.
