On December 27, students of Russian universities passed a demonstration exam on the FutureSkills Laser Technology competency at the Hi-Tech Boiling Point platform at the Laser Center.
In August 2021 in St. Petersburg, represented by the SUAI University (as a FutureSkills national competence center), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and WorldSkills Russia launched the FutureSkills University project. This project is being implemented in higher education institutes as a part of “Methodological support for the implementation of educational programs on the competencies of WorldSkills in the educational activities of higher education organizations” project.
The goal of the FutureSkills project is the structural transformation of personnel training in the higher education system to ensure the rapid growth of the economy, society and culture in the Russian Federation.
At Hi-Tech Boiling Point platform at Laser Center, it was possible to simulate real conditions for the graduates to demonstrate their professional skills. The leading specialists of the Laser Center determined the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of graduates in accordance with international requirements, and made independent expert assessments of their performance during the demonstration exam.
At the end of the demonstration exam, students received personal Passports of Competency - an electronic document that reflects their level of practical skills. After that, the data will appear in the database of young professionals, access to which is provided to all leading employers who have accepted the format of the demonstration exam, for the search and selection of personnel.
Laser Technologies "Hi-Tech Boiling Point" was created at the Laser Center to develop pioneering laser processing technologies. Together we discuss and predict the development of the NTI (National Technology Initiative) markets, and provide an effective transfer of technologies to the markets and end integrators.
Laser Technologies "Hi-Tech Boiling Point" cooperates with WorldSkills Russia and the "Labor Productivity" national project in order to improve labor productivity in enterprises through the development of rationalization. In our case, the main subject of rationalization activities are laser technologies and equipment for laser processing.
